Overview

High-Absorbency Reusable Bed Protection

The Absorb Plus High Absorbency Bed Pad is the highest-capacity reusable bed pad in MoveSmart's current Absorb Plus range. Measuring 85 x 90 cm and absorbing up to 2500 ml, it is designed for situations where greater fluid capacity is the priority.

A densely woven polyester top surface provides a soft contact layer, while the waterproof polyurethane (PU) backing helps protect the bed sheet and mattress beneath. The non-slip backing is designed to reduce unwanted movement, and rounded corners help the pad stand up to repeated laundering.

Reusable incontinence bed pads are also commonly called Kylie bed pads, Kylie sheets or simply Kylies

When to Choose the 2500 ml Version

This model is the best fit in the Absorb Plus range when higher absorbency is more important than keeping the pad as light as possible. It provides significantly more capacity than the 800 ml lightweight and 1500 ml Super versions while using the same 85 x 90 cm coverage area.

For lighter everyday protection, the lower-capacity models may be easier to handle and wash. Choosing between them is mainly a question of how much absorbency is needed and whether side flaps are useful for keeping the pad in place.

Choosing Between Absorb Plus Bed Pads

Choose the 800 ml model for lighter protection, the 1500 ml Super Pad for a mid-capacity option, and this 2500 ml model when maximum absorbency is the priority. If pad movement is the main issue rather than capacity, consider one of the 800 ml or 1500 ml versions with side flaps.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much fluid can the high-absorbency bed pad hold?

The pad is designed to absorb up to 2500 ml and measures 85 x 90 cm.

Who is the 2500 ml pad best suited to?

It is the highest-capacity model in the current Absorb Plus range and is the best choice when greater absorbency is more important than keeping the pad as light as possible.

What is the difference between this and the 1500 ml Super Bed Pad?

The Absorb Plus Super Bed Pad (1500 ml) provides the same 85 x 90 cm coverage area; this model increases absorbency to 2500 ml.

Does this version have side flaps?

No. It is a standard non-flapped pad. If anchoring under the mattress is important, the 800 ml and 1500 ml flapped versions may suit better.

Which side faces up?

Place the soft quilted side facing up and the waterproof non-slip PU backing facing down.

Can it be tumble dried?

Yes. Warm tumble dry up to 80°C, or line dry.

Can I use chlorine bleach?

No. Chlorine bleach can damage the PU backing. Use hydrogen peroxide bleach only if required.

Is it reusable?

Yes. It is designed for repeated laundering and reuse.

Is the backing waterproof?

Yes. The polyurethane backing is waterproof and is designed to help protect the sheet and mattress beneath the pad.

Does the non-slip backing completely prevent movement?

It is designed to reduce movement during normal use, but movement can still depend on the bedding, mattress surface and how much the user moves. If secure anchoring is the priority, consider a flapped Absorb Plus model.

Can it be used as part of a broader continence-management setup?

Yes. A reusable bed pad can be used alongside other appropriate continence products where additional protection is needed.

Is the Absorb Plus High Absorbency Bed Pad available for delivery across New Zealand?

Yes. This bed pad is available for delivery throughout New Zealand.

Are Absorb Plus bed pads the same as Kylies?

“Kylie”, “Kylie sheet” and “Kylie bed pad” are commonly used search terms for reusable incontinence bed pads.
