The Goldfern X-FOLD Extended Handle Rollator Set combines a complete X-FOLD or X-FOLD PLUS rollator with the dedicated Long Handle Kit, creating a taller setup for users who find the standard handgrips too low.

Longer handles can make a substantial difference to posture. When a rollator is too low, the user may have to stoop forward or reach down toward the grips. The extended-height configuration raises the hand position while keeping the familiar X-FOLD frame, seat, folding system, bag and removable wheels.

Choose X-FOLD or X-FOLD PLUS

The set is available on both compatible chassis:

• X-FOLD: 136 kg maximum user weight, approximately 5.85 kg chassis weight, 59.4 cm overall width and 56 cm seat height.
• X-FOLD PLUS: 180 kg maximum user weight, approximately 6.3 kg chassis weight, 53.5 cm overall width and 51.5 cm seat height.

Colour availability differs by chassis: the standard X-FOLD is available in Ice Blue, Candy Pink, Purple, Green and Grey, while the X-FOLD PLUS is available in Grey only.

The standard dimensions and user-weight ratings remain those of the selected base rollator. The difference is the taller handle assembly.

Extended Handle Height for Taller Users

On the standard X-FOLD, the long-handle configuration provides a verified floor-to-handle adjustment range of approximately 89–101 cm, compared with 81–94 cm for the standard handles.

The same Long Handle Kit is compatible with the X-FOLD PLUS. A separate measured floor-to-handle range for the PLUS chassis has not been published, so we do not quote the 89–101 cm figure as a PLUS-specific measurement.

Lightweight Folding Design

The X-FOLD family is designed around easy transport. The aluminium frame folds for storage and the 20.3 cm (8") wheels can be removed when you want to reduce bulk further. The removable shopping bag can also be detached and used separately as a shoulder or satchel bag.

The standard X-FOLD provides a slightly larger overall footprint and a 136 kg capacity, while the PLUS packages a higher 180 kg rating into an unusually light 6.3 kg chassis.

Which Model Should I Choose?

Choose the X-FOLD when minimum chassis weight, a 56 cm seat height and a roomier 59.4 cm overall width suit the user. Choose the X-FOLD PLUS when a 180 kg maximum user weight is required without moving to a much heavier traditional high-capacity walker.

Getting the Handle Height Right

Handle height should allow the user to walk upright with relaxed shoulders and a comfortable bend at the elbows. Both sides should be adjusted to the same height, with the locking points fully engaged before use.

After changing handle position, check brake-cable routing and confirm the service and parking brakes operate correctly. The user should practise walking, turning and stopping in a clear area before returning to normal use.
