Description
Pride Jazzy EVO 614 HD Powerchair for Heavy-Duty Everyday Mobility
The Pride Jazzy EVO 614 HD is a heavy-duty mid-wheel drive power wheelchair designed for people who need a higher user weight capacity without giving up practical manoeuvrability around the home and community. With a maximum user weight of 204 kg, a 55.9 cm turning radius and a compact 64.5 cm power-base width, it combines substantial capacity with responsive everyday control.
Its two-motor in-line HD drive system is paired with front and rear independent Active-Trac® ATX Suspension and 13.75-inch solid drive wheels. This helps the chair manage everyday transitions and varied surfaces while remaining easy to position in tighter indoor areas. Maximum speed is up to 7.8 km/h, with a published maximum range of up to 21 km per charge under suitable conditions.
Comfort is supported by a depth-adjustable, limited-recline memory foam high-back swivel seat, adjustable flip-up armrests and a large footplate with a removable rubber cover. The standard Dynamic LiNX 60A electronics provide joystick control, while the heavy-duty seat post and high-capacity platform make the EVO 614 HD a strong option for regular powered mobility.

Seating, Batteries and Everyday Use
Two standard seat widths are available: 50.8 cm (20 inches) and 55.8 cm (22 inches), with an adjustable 20–22 inch seat-depth range. The high-back seat-to-floor range is 55.8–60.9 cm, and the standard 20 x 20 inch high-back seat is listed at 23.5 kg.
The Jazzy EVO 614 HD uses two 55Ah, 12V deep-cycle batteries, with AGM or gel-cell types recommended by Pride, and an off-board 5A charger. Each battery weighs approximately 16.8 kg. The chair uses regenerative and electro-mechanical braking.
This is a full-size heavy-duty powerchair rather than a lightweight folding travel chair. The heaviest piece weighs approximately 65 kg, so vehicle loading, ramps, hoists and storage space should be planned before transport. MoveSmart can help discuss practical delivery and setup considerations for New Zealand customers.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the maximum user weight for the Jazzy EVO 614 HD?
The maximum user weight is 204 kg.
How far can the Jazzy EVO 614 HD travel on a charge?
The maximum stated range is up to 21 km per charge. Actual range varies with user weight, terrain, battery condition, charge level, tyre condition and operating conditions.
What is the maximum speed?
The published maximum speed is up to 7.8 km/h.
Is the Jazzy EVO 614 HD suitable for indoor use?
Yes. Its mid-wheel drive layout and 55.9 cm turning radius are designed to provide useful manoeuvrability in indoor spaces. Always check doorways, turning areas and the complete configured chair width for your environment.
Can it be used outdoors?
It is designed for both indoor and everyday outdoor mobility. Active-Trac® ATX Suspension and the 13.75-inch drive wheels help with transitions and varied surfaces, but loose sand, deep gravel, steep slopes and slippery conditions still require caution.
What seat sizes are available?
Available seat widths are 50.8 cm (20-inch) and 55.8 cm (22-inch), with a 20–22 inch adjustable depth range. Final seating configuration should be selected to suit the user.
Does the seat swivel?
Yes. The memory foam high-back seat is mounted on a heavy-duty seat post and is designed to swivel. It also offers depth adjustment and limited recline.
Are the armrests adjustable?
Yes. The standard armrests are width and height adjustable and can flip up for easier access.
What batteries does the Jazzy EVO 614 HD use?
It is specified for two 55Ah, 12V deep-cycle batteries. Pride recommends AGM or gel-cell battery types for this model.
What charger does it use?
It uses an off-board 5A charger.
What is the maximum recommended incline?
The maximum recommended incline angle is 10.5% (6 degrees). Safe performance also depends on surface conditions, load and correct operation.
Does the Jazzy EVO 614 HD fold for transport?
No. It is a substantial heavy-duty powerchair, and the heaviest piece weighs approximately 65 kg, so transport usually requires suitable vehicle space and appropriate loading equipment.
How should the chair be cleaned and maintained?
Follow the Pride owner’s manual for routine inspection, battery charging and maintenance. The footplate’s removable rubber cover is designed to make cleaning easier. Electrical components should not be exposed to excessive moisture.
Is this power wheelchair available for delivery across New Zealand?
We can and do deliver to customers across New Zealand — however, mobility scooters and power chairs are more complex products and can be sizeable, so we generally recommend finding a local retailer who can provide hands-on service and ongoing support. It is also a good idea to test-drive or trial a power chair before committing to a purchase. MoveSmart focuses its sales and servicing within the Central Plateau region, but we are always happy to chat. Get in touch and we can offer advice, suggest a trusted dealer closer to you, or work with you to tailor a solution.
What warranty applies in New Zealand?
Please contact MoveSmart for the warranty terms that apply to the chair, electronics, drive components and batteries.

AA Mobility Care Membership
AA Mobility Care Membership provides peace of mind with comprehensive cover for your mobility equipment.
Every mobility scooter purchased via MoveSmart Mobility Equipment now comes with a 3 year AA Mobility Care Membership!
Where a nominated mobility scooter has become immobile, the AA will attend and, and if they are unable to mobilise the scooter, they will either:
Deliver the owner to their home address and arrange for the mobility scooter to be delivered to the owner's home address as soon as practicable or, if the owner wishes to remain with the mobility scooter, the AA will arrange for recover of both the mobility scooter and the owner to the owner's home address by means of a taxi van. This service is free of charge to the owner, as the cost of the taxi is charged back to the AA.
The AA will not attend any mobility scooter that is immobile at the owner's home address which requires repairs to be carried out.
Mobility Van or Taxi Assistance
Within metropolitan areas only, where mobility vans are available, the AA will make all necessary arrangements to ensure both the owner and their mobility scooter are transported to the owner's home address (or an alternative address as specified by the owner at the time, providing that the distance to the alternative address is no greater than to the home address).
In order for the AA to provide service, the owner must remain with the mobility scooter until the AA Service Provider arrives.
