Goldfern Swivel Seat
The Goldfern Swivel Seat is a portable rotating seat cushion designed to make turning on a suitable chair or vehicle seat easier. It provides smooth 360° rotation on a padded surface, helping reduce the amount of twisting required during an appropriate seated transfer.
The seat has a published diameter of approximately 39.5 cm, an overall height of approximately 5 cm and a maximum user weight of 120 kg. Thick foam cushioning is covered in durable fabric, and a non-slip base is designed to help the cushion stay positioned on a suitable seat surface.

Why Choose the Goldfern Swivel Seat?
The Swivel Seat creates a rotating layer between the user and a suitable seat, so the body can turn with the cushion rather than relying entirely on twisting through the hips and trunk. It is important that the underlying seat is stable, broad enough for the cushion and appropriate for the user's transfer method.
Making Everyday Tasks More Manageable
Swivel Seat is designed to reduce unnecessary reaching, gripping or twisting during a familiar daily task. The most useful setup depends on the user’s hand strength, range of movement and the environment in which it will be used. Practise the movement while seated or otherwise well supported before relying on the aid during a full routine.
Keep handles and contact surfaces clean and dry, inspect moving or gripping parts regularly, and store the product where it can be reached without creating another awkward movement. An occupational therapist can suggest task-specific techniques or alternatives where pain, weakness or limited movement makes the activity difficult.

What does the non-slip base do?
It is designed to improve grip between the swivel cushion and a suitable underlying seat. It does not make every seat surface compatible, so stability should be checked before use.

Yes, where the vehicle seat is broad, stable and shaped appropriately for the swivel cushion and the user's transfer.
Can it be used on a household chair?
It can be used on a suitable stable chair with enough flat seating area to support the cushion. Avoid unstable, narrow or highly contoured surfaces.
Should I test the setup before a full transfer?
Yes. Check that the cushion remains centred and stable on the seat and that the user can control the rotation before relying on it during a transfer.
Is it a lifting aid?
No. The product assists with seated rotation; it does not lift the user or replace a suitable handhold or transfer assistance where those are needed.
