Description
icare Curve Pillow – Low-Profile ActiveX™ Neck and Shoulder Support
The icare Curve Pillow is the lowest-profile option in iCare’s main pillow range. Its ergonomic curved shape is designed to sit neatly around the shoulder line while supporting the head and neck without creating the height of a conventional pillow.
At approximately 560 x 340 mm with a profile of 50–80 mm, it is particularly useful for people who naturally need less pillow height, including petite users, children and some people spending extended periods in bed. The high-density ActiveX™ core responds to body warmth and gradually softens around the head and neck rather than feeling like a fixed block of foam.
The removable four-way-stretch cotton/Elastex top cover allows the surface to contour with the user, while breathable Vant® fabric around the sides and base encourages airflow. Despite its compact profile, the Curve Pillow is designed to fit a standard-size pillow slip.
Is the Curve Pillow the Right iCare Pillow for You?
Choose the Curve when the main requirement is a low pillow height and a shape that accommodates the shoulders. If you prefer a familiar traditional shape, compare the Classic. If you want distinct high and low neck contours, the Contour may be a better fit. For a softer, fuller pillow feel, look at the Cloud; for the greatest ability to alter height and support, consider the modular Conform.
Pillow height is highly individual. Shoulder width, sleeping position, body shape and the amount you sink into the mattress all affect the height needed to keep the neck comfortably aligned. A softer or more immersive mattress lets the shoulder sink further and can change the pillow height that feels right, so it is worth considering the mattress and pillow together.

Choosing the Correct Pillow Height
A pillow should fill the space between the head, neck and mattress without forcing the neck noticeably upward or allowing the head to drop too far. Side sleepers often require more height than back or front sleepers, but mattress immersion can change this substantially. The Curve is deliberately low, so it is best chosen because the user genuinely needs that lower profile rather than simply because it looks compact.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the icare Curve Pillow designed for?
It is designed for people who benefit from a very low pillow profile, including many children, petite users and people on bed rest.
What are the dimensions?
The Curve Pillow measures approximately 560 x 340 mm with a profile height of 50–80 mm.
Why is the pillow curved?
The curved shape helps accommodate the shoulder area while supporting the head and neck in a lower profile.
How does it compare with the icare Classic Pillow?
The Curve is lower and more sculpted. The Classic has a more familiar traditional pillow shape and an approximately 110 mm height.
How does it compare with the icare Contour Pillow?
The Contour provides two more pronounced profile heights, approximately 90–110 mm, whereas the Curve is substantially lower at approximately 50–80 mm.
How does it compare with the icare Cloud Pillow?
The Cloud is a fuller, softer-feeling pillow with a microfibre-filled cover and 130 mm overall height. The Curve is the better starting point when low height is the priority.
What is ActiveX™?
ActiveX™ is iCare’s temperature-responsive elastic foam. It becomes softer as it warms so it can contour more closely around the user.
Does mattress firmness affect the pillow height I need?
Yes. The amount the shoulder and body sink into the mattress changes the distance the pillow needs to support, so a pillow should be considered together with the mattress and sleeping position.
Is the Curve Pillow suitable for children?
iCare identifies its very low profile as suitable for children. Pillow suitability should still be considered for the individual user and age.
Is it suitable for petite users?
Yes. Its low profile can be useful where a conventional-height pillow feels too tall.
Can it be used during bed rest?
Yes. iCare identifies the Curve as suitable for people on bed rest who need a lower-profile head and neck support.
What is the cover made from?
The removable top cover uses four-way-stretch cotton/Elastex material, while Vant® fabric is used around the sides and base to encourage airflow.
Can the cover be washed?
Yes. The cover is removable and washable. Follow iCare’s supplied care instructions.
Will it fit a standard pillowcase?
Yes. The Curve Pillow is designed to fit a standard-size pillow slip.
What is the product code and warranty?
The product code is ICP4. iCare provides a 2-year standard warranty, subject to its warranty terms and conditions.
