Mid-Wheel 6 Drive for Tight Indoor Spaces
The main drive wheels sit close to the user’s centre of gravity, allowing the chair to pivot in a relatively small space rather than sweeping through the wider arc of a rear-wheel-drive chair. The 55.5 cm turning radius is useful around doorways, kitchen areas, hallways and other confined spaces.
The overall powerbase measures approximately 90 cm long × 59.6 cm wide, so doorway width and furniture clearance should still be checked in the user’s home.
Active-Trac Suspension and Six-Wheel Stability
Active-Trac® ATX suspension works with the front and rear castors and central drive wheels to help maintain wheel contact over small changes in surface height. The articulating six-wheel platform gives the Select 6 a planted feel indoors and on suitable outdoor paths.
