Higher Capacity Without a Conventional Heavy Frame

The Athlon HD is designed for users who need a 200 kg rollator capacity and a wider 51 cm seat, while still wanting a frame that is manageable for everyday transport. Its carbon-fibre structure and reinforced double cross brace provide the strength required for the higher rating. At approximately 6.0–6.2 kg in standard configuration, it is considerably lighter to lift than many steel bariatric walkers.

The 69 cm overall width creates more walking and seating room, but it also needs wider doorways and vehicle storage than a standard 61 cm Rehasense rollator. Measure the narrowest indoor route and consider who will lift the folded frame before choosing it primarily for its low weight.

Medium or Large: Choose by Fit, Not Capacity

Both sizes carry the same 200 kg maximum user weight and use the same 51 cm seat width. Medium has a 54 cm seat height and 69–86 cm handle range; Large raises the seat to 60 cm and adjusts from 74–102 cm at the handles. The correct size is the one that supports an upright walking position and safe sit-to-stand movement.

A seat that is too high can make resting and transfers difficult, while handles set too low or high can affect posture and control. Individual fitting is especially important where lower-limb strength, balance or joint range is limited.

TPE or Soft PU Wheels?

TPE wheels provide the standard firm, low-maintenance rollator feel. Soft PU wheels add some shock absorption over paving joints and uneven paths without requiring pneumatic-tyre maintenance. They improve ride comfort but do not turn the Athlon HD into an all-terrain walker.
