All configurations fit between the mattress and bed base and use a cord-and-cleat securing system. The standard and Extra High models have a 150 kg maximum user weight, while the Bariatric Winged model increases this to 210 kg. Choosing the Right Configuration

Choose the configuration to suit the bed construction, mattress height and the user's safe reach. Standard flat- and stepped-base versions are available with 60 cm or 80 cm base lengths. The Extra High versions use an 80 cm flat base with a taller 60, 65 or 70 cm loop for beds where the standard 55 cm loop would sit too low. The Bariatric Winged model uses reinforced construction and increases the maximum user weight to 210 kg.

A taller loop or longer base is not automatically better. The lever should be positioned so it can be reached comfortably without over-stretching, while avoiding unsafe gaps around the mattress, headboard, footboard or wall.

Installation and Safety

The base fits between the mattress and bed base and must be secured with the supplied cord and cleat. The mattress should be firm enough that it does not compress excessively and create a hazardous gap beside the lever.

Keep the gap between the mattress edge and the bed lever below approximately 10 cm. The lever bar should also be positioned more than approximately 31.8 cm from a wall, headboard or footboard where relevant, helping avoid smaller entrapment spaces. Recheck the fixing regularly, particularly after the bed is made or the mattress has been moved.
