Second-Hand Equipment Policy

At MoveSmart Mobility Equipment, we aim to provide safe, reliable mobility solutions. Here’s what you need to know about our approach to second-hand equipment.

Do We Buy Second-Hand Equipment?

We do not purchase second-hand equipment, except in cases where we may offer a trade-in on a powered device at our discretion.

Selling on Behalf – Our Policy

We understand that selling mobility equipment can be challenging, so we offer a sale-on-behalf service for mobility scooters and some other power devices under the following conditions:

1. Acceptance Is at Our Discretion

  • We only accept items we believe we can sell and support.
  • Typically, this means brands we already stock or can source parts for through our suppliers.

2. Equipment Check & Service

  • All items must undergo a service inspection before being listed for sale.
  • In most cases, we will supply new batteries, unless you provide proof of recent purchase or installation.
  • The cost of servicing and any required parts (including batteries) will be discussed upfront and deducted from the final payout.

3. No Guaranteed Sale Timeframe

  • We cannot guarantee how quickly an item will sell.
  • The owner may collect the item at any time, but any costs incurred to make the device saleable must be paid before collection.

4. Pricing & Payout

  • We do not guarantee a fixed sale price.
  • We will provide a guide price and confirm with you before finalising any sale.
  • All payouts are made by bank transfer only.

5. Documentation

  • All required documentation must be completed in-store before we list your item for sale and before any payout is processed.
