Heartway Maven XR Mobility Scooter
The Heartway Maven XR Mobility Scooter is the largest and most rugged model in MoveSmart's current Heartway scooter range. It is built for users who need more ground clearance, stronger suspension and deeper-tread tyres than a conventional road or community scooter provides.
A 900W 4-pole motor, 170 mm ground clearance, heavy-duty full suspension and large semi-all-terrain tyres give the Maven XR more capability on suitable gravel, firm grass and uneven outdoor surfaces. It supports users up to 160 kg, reaches up to 15 km/h, and offers a travel range of up to approximately 40 km.
Where the Maven XR Fits in the Heartway Range
The Freestyler is the compact automatic-folding travel model. The Blaze is the narrower mid-size outdoor scooter. The Maven is the long-range road and community model. The Maven XR goes further toward semi-all-terrain use with a stronger 900W motor, 170 mm clearance, larger tyres and more substantial suspension.
Choose the XR when rougher outdoor surfaces are a regular part of the journey and the scooter's extra size is acceptable. If most travel is on formed paths and roads, the standard Maven is smaller and provides a slightly longer stated range.
900W Motor and Heavy-Duty Suspension
The Maven XR uses a 900W 4-pole motor with an S-Drive 200A controller. Double A-arm front suspension and rear shock absorption are designed to manage more demanding outdoor surfaces than the standard Maven.
This is still a mobility scooter rather than an off-road recreational vehicle. Loose gravel, steep slopes, mud, deep grass and unstable surfaces can exceed the safe limits of any scooter, so terrain should always be assessed conservatively.
170 mm Ground Clearance and Deep-Tread Tyres
Ground clearance is approximately 170 mm, substantially more than the standard Maven's 80 mm. Front wheels are approximately 350 x 120 mm and drive wheels around 380 x 150 mm, with deep-tread semi-all-terrain tyres.
The extra clearance and tyre size are the main reasons to choose the XR for rougher paths, but they also contribute to the scooter's larger footprint and approximately 2000 mm turning radius.
Long-Range 80Ah Battery System
Two 12V 80Ah batteries provide a travel range of up to approximately 40 km under suitable conditions. Actual distance varies with user weight, terrain, gradients, tyre pressure, temperature, battery condition and driving style.
Captain Seat, LCD Console and Lighting
The captain-style seat swivels and has adjustable armrests to assist access and driving comfort. The LCD console provides key driving information, while full LED lighting, mirrors and a front basket support regular outdoor and community use.

Every mobility scooter purchased via MoveSmart Mobility Equipment now comes with a 3 year AA Mobility Care Membership!
Where a nominated mobility scooter has become immobile, the AA will attend and, and if they are unable to mobilise the scooter, they will either:
Deliver the owner to their home address and arrange for the mobility scooter to be delivered to the owner's home address as soon as practicable or, if the owner wishes to remain with the mobility scooter, the AA will arrange for recover of both the mobility scooter and the owner to the owner's home address by means of a taxi van. This service is free of charge to the owner, as the cost of the taxi is charged back to the AA.
The AA will not attend any mobility scooter that is immobile at the owner's home address which requires repairs to be carried out.
Mobility Van or Taxi Assistance
Within metropolitan areas only, where mobility vans are available, the AA will make all necessary arrangements to ensure both the owner and their mobility scooter are transported to the owner's home address (or an alternative address as specified by the owner at the time, providing that the distance to the alternative address is no greater than to the home address).
In order for the AA to provide service, the owner must remain with the mobility scooter until the AA Service Provider arrives.
