icare IC20 ActiveX™ Mattress – Balanced Medium-Feel Pressure Care

The icare IC20 ActiveX™ Mattress is iCare’s middle-of-the-range ActiveX™ mattress and is designed for users who want a balance between pressure redistribution, comfort and ease of movement. Its Medium Feel provides more immersion than the firm IC15 without the deeper, softer feel of the IC25.

The 200 mm-high mattress uses temperature-responsive ActiveX™ material that becomes more compliant as it warms, allowing the sleeping surface to contour around the user. Firm edge support creates a more stable perimeter for sitting and transfers, while Bluetec™ and Vant™ fabrics help with airflow and temperature management.

iCare classifies the IC20 as a High Risk pressure-care mattress with a manufacturer user-weight range of 30–200 kg. Its flip-free design, anti-slip base and Contour-Latch™ system make it well suited to adjustable and profiling beds where the mattress needs to move with the platform without shifting excessively.

Which iCare ActiveX™ Mattress Should I Choose?

Choose the IC20 if you want the balanced Medium Feel in the ActiveX™ range. The IC15 is firmer and lower-immersion for users who prioritise mobility and transfers. The IC25 is softer and more enveloping for users who prefer deeper immersion. The IC30 is also Medium Feel but adds gel- and charcoal-infused ActiveX™ and reinforced XP Support™ edges for additional cooling and edge-stability features.

The best mattress is not simply the softest or highest-rated option. Why the IC20 Is the Middle-Ground Option

A firm mattress can support mobility but may feel too hard for some users, while a very soft mattress can increase immersion and make movement more difficult. The IC20 is designed to sit between those two ends of the range. That makes it a useful starting point for users who need pressure care but do not have a strong preference for either a very firm or very soft surface.
