Why Choose the Merits Vision Sport Lift?

The Vision Sport Lift is useful for users who want the manoeuvrability of mid-wheel drive with the added function of a powered seat lift. Its compact turning circle works well indoors, while full suspension and larger drive wheels support everyday community use on suitable outdoor surfaces.

Matching the Powerchair to the User and Environment

Merits Vision Sport Lift Power Chair needs to suit both the seated user and the spaces where it will be driven. Seat width and depth, arm position, foot support and control placement all influence comfort and confident operation. At home, check doorway widths, turning areas, ramps and the approach to commonly used furniture; for community use, also consider transport, gradients and the surfaces encountered on usual journeys.

A practical trial is the best way to assess control response, transfer access and overall fit. Published range and performance figures are comparative rather than guaranteed, because load, terrain, temperature and battery condition affect real-world results. Consistent charging, tyre care and routine servicing help maintain reliable everyday performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum user weight?

The Vision Sport Lift supports users up to 136 kg.

What is the maximum speed?

The maximum speed is up to 8 km/h.

What is the stated range?

The NZ specification lists up to 28 km per charge. Actual range varies with user weight, terrain, gradients, battery condition, temperature, seat-lift use and driving style.

How high does the powered seat lift raise?

The powered seat lift provides up to approximately 190 mm of vertical adjustment.

What is the turning radius?

The current NZ specification lists a turning radius of approximately 500 mm.

Why is mid-wheel drive useful indoors?

Positioning the main drive wheels near the centre of the chair allows it to rotate in a relatively small footprint, which can help in corridors, kitchens and other tighter spaces.

Does it have suspension?

Yes. Full front and rear suspension helps absorb bumps and vibration on suitable surfaces.

What type of motors does it use?

The chair uses dual in-line drive motors. The motor specification is 160W rated with up to 520W maximum output.

What size are the wheels?

It uses 10-inch foam-filled drive tyres and 6-inch PU castors.

The current MoveSmart product is available in White.

Is an owner's manual available?

Yes. The Vision Sport owner’s manual is linked above.

Is this power chair available for delivery across New Zealand?

We can and do deliver to customers across New Zealand — however, mobility scooters and power chairs are more complex products and can be sizeable, so we generally recommend finding a local retailer who can provide hands-on service and ongoing support. It is also a good idea to trial a power chair before committing to a purchase. MoveSmart focuses its sales and servicing within the Central Plateau region, but we are always happy to chat. Get in touch and we can offer advice, suggest a trusted dealer closer to you, or work with you to tailor a solution.

AA Mobility Care Membership
Yellow Auto Centre building with AA Motoring branding under a blue sky.

AA Mobility Care Membership provides peace of mind with comprehensive cover for your mobility equipment.

Every mobility scooter purchased via MoveSmart Mobility Equipment now comes with a 3 year AA Mobility Care Membership!

Where a nominated mobility scooter has become immobile, the AA will attend and, and if they are unable to mobilise the scooter, they will either:

Deliver the owner to their home address and arrange for the mobility scooter to be delivered to the owner's home address as soon as practicable or, if the owner wishes to remain with the mobility scooter, the AA will arrange for recover of both the mobility scooter and the owner to the owner's home address by means of a taxi van. This service is free of charge to the owner, as the cost of the taxi is charged back to the AA.

The AA will not attend any mobility scooter that is immobile at the owner's home address which requires repairs to be carried out.

Mobility Van or Taxi Assistance

Within metropolitan areas only, where mobility vans are available, the AA will make all necessary arrangements to ensure both the owner and their mobility scooter are transported to the owner's home address (or an alternative address as specified by the owner at the time, providing that the distance to the alternative address is no greater than to the home address).

In order for the AA to provide service, the owner must remain with the mobility scooter until the AA Service Provider arrives.
